Victim Rear-Ended After Blowing a Tire

According to police spokesman David Auld, the fatal Georgia car accident took place at about 7:40 p.m. on I-75 southbound, just past the Delk Road overpass in Marietta, Georgia. The accident report indicates that a Honda Accord driven by Richeany Meas, 25, blew a front tire and came to a stop in the second lane of the highway. A Jeep Wrangler then proceeded to strike the Honda in the rear, and the Honda and Jeep both came to rest against the left median wall, with the Jeep on its roof. Following the collision, Meas reportedly exited the vehicle to check on a child in the back seat, but collapsed. She was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where she was pronounced dead from injuries she sustained in the tragic car accident.
