Four teens were struck by automobiles on Richmond County roads in less than a week last month, and two died as a result of their injuries. Unfortunately, pedestrian accidents are becoming more and more common in Georgia and across the country, especially during the warm spring and summer months when many people choose to enjoy the nice weather by walking or cycling, rather than driving. In 2010 alone, 4,280 pedestrians were killed in traffic accidents in the United States, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and another 70,000 pedestrians were injured. If you have been injured in a GA pedestrian accident, or if you lost a loved one in a fatal collision, consult our knowledgeable attorneys at Rechtman & Spevak today. You may have grounds to file a personal injury or wrongful death suit against the at-fault driver, in order to pursue financial compensation for your losses.
