Although, my case was not settled for the amount I would have liked, I was very happy with my legal representation.

Response: I originally represented this client in 2007. She went back to work after being released by her doctor the following year. Four years later, she contacted me and told me that she was out of work again from the same job due to an injury to the same part of her body. There was no new accident, and she sought medical treatment outside the workers’ compensation system. Due to a statute of limitations issue, she did not have any entitlement to income benefits under the original injury. The case was pursued under a fictional date of accident, and I was able to obtain what I felt was a reasonable settlement on the client’s behalf. Given the facts, it was not a case that would have likely yielded a better result at a hearing before an administrative law judge.
