Two-Car Collision Results in Injuries

The Georgia car accident is still being investigated, but Turner has reported that physical evidence matches the witnesses’ accounts. According to the accident report, a white Camry, driven by 59-year-old Donald Murphy, was traveling south on Whitesville Road, when his car drifted into the northbound lane for an unknown reason and struck the driver’s side of a gold Camry, driven by 78-year-old Electa Brown. Brown was extricated from her vehicle following the collision and airlifted to the Columbus Medical Center, according to Turner. Murphy suffered head trauma in the accident and was transported to West Georgia Medical Center for treatment.

Understanding Negligence in GA Car Accidents

Although there are a variety of factors that can play a role in Georgia car accidents, statistics show that the majority of collisions in the United States are caused by driver negligence. Negligence is defined as a failure to exercise the care that a reasonably prudent person would in similar circumstances, meaning, when applied to car accidents, a driver who is careless behind the wheel. Negligence comes in a variety of forms, including drunk driving, distracted driving, speeding, reckless driving, and more, and can put the negligent driver, his passengers and other motorists on Georgia roadways at risk of serious injuries or death.
