Injuries, Fatalities Resulting From Tragic Collision
According to the accident report filed by Georgia State Patrol, a 1996 Ford Bronco driven by 35-year-old Brent Lynch was traveling eastbound on Georgia 53, when the vehicle left the road on the right side, re-entered the roadway, and collided head-on with a 2006 Kia Spectra. The Kia was being driven by 40-year-old April Nacoale Winters, who was killed in the accident, as were two passengers in her vehicle – 21-year-old Tanika Latrice Ackies and an infant just 27 days old. Two other passengers in the Kia, Alexis Gardner, 20, and Ratanza Winters, also 20, suffered injuries in the collision and were transported to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga for treatment. Brent Lynch and his passenger, 35-year-old Crystal Lynch, were also injured in the crash and taken to Erlanger.
