Twenty-two-year-old Kyrie Alassen Anderson was racing her Honda Accord near Conyers, Georgia – about 25 miles east of Atlanta – when she lost control of her vehicle. The Accord struck a guardrail and traveled back across the westbound lanes of Interstate 20, before colliding with a Chevrolet pickup truck. According to Georgia State Police, the driver’s 7-month-old baby and her 19-year-old boyfriend, Edi Rodriguez, were killed in the collision. Anderson was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, and the passengers in the pickup truck that collided with Anderson’s car, 24-year-old Jody Shane Richardson and 48-year-old Terry Lee Chaney, were injured in the crash as well. Authorities have also reported that the fatal Georgia car accident caused another collision nearby when a driver who slowed down to avoid the accident was rear-ended.
