Alleged Drunk Driver Was Speeding, Racing

The victim of the Georgia car accident, Donnetta McCullum, had four children of her own, and adopted four more when her brother could no longer care for them. According to McCullum’s family, she was on her way to the store to pick up groceries for dinner on July 18, when the deadly accident took place. Deputies say that McCullum, who was driving a Suzuki Grand Vitara, was making a left turn onto Peach Orchard Road from Faircrest Avenue when she was was struck and killed by Branden Ross, who was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the collision. In the aftermath of the Georgia car accident, Ross was arrested and charged with DUI, reckless driving, and first-degree vehicular homicide. Deputies with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office are still looking for the other driver involved in the alleged race, who will also face charges in the accident.
