Jaret A. Spevak completed his undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Spevak received his B.A. in 1990, graduating cum laude with a major in mathematics. Mr. Spevak went on to attend Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia, where he earned his J.D. in 1993. While a student at Emory, Mr. Spevak had an internship with the Atlanta City Solicitor's Office. During the course of this internship, he prosecuted cases in the Municipal Court of Atlanta under the supervision of the City Solicitor in 1992 and 1993. Mr. Spevak was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in June, 1993, and has been practicing law in the Atlanta area since that time.
In 1995, Mr. Spevak began working in the areas of Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury for the firm that was then known as Rechtman Law Associates. The firm concentrates its practice on the representation of individuals who have been injured either on the job or in a motor vehicle collision. After five years of developing his skills as a trial attorney, Mr. Spevak became partners with David B. Rechtman in 2000, at which time the firm became known as Rechtman & Spevak. Over the past 15 years, Mr. Spevak has successfully handled many hearings before the Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation, as well as several cases each year in the State, Superior and Magistrate Courts throughout the State of Georgia. Mr. Spevak has been a member of the Workers' Compensation Section of both the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association since he began practicing in this area in 1995. In addition to Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury cases, Mr. Spevak also specializes in Social Security Disability claims.
